Happy Six Months

We celebrated your six month birthday! Rachel, Jason, Grandma Jan and Cassidy, Josh and Zack joined us for party in your honor. There was a double chocolate cake to be enjoyed but unfortunately you weren't quite ready to delight in such a decadent treat. However, Jason let you dip your little fingers in the gooey frosting.

We also marked this milestone by starting to feed you solid food. You first dined on mashed bananas and have since tried sweet potatoes, peaches (you weren't crazy about this fuzzy fruit), and mangoes. You certainly enjoy your daily meal.

I just can't believe how quickly your first six months have passed. We have more and more fun with you each day. You are so alert to the world around you and love reaching for anything you can get your hands on. You laugh at Linus when he scurries around the backyard and you are always so relaxed on our afternoon walks around the neighboorhood. You are nearly sitting on your own but we keep close just to be sure you don't topple when you reach for your toys. You you have so much to say but we are still waiting to hear those "MaMas and DaDas."

You brighten our lives Delaney!

Welcome to Durango

Last week we hopped on a plane to visit Pete, Linley and Raina in Durango. Your first time in the air and you did so well! I was worried about the pressure on your little ears but you weren't bothered one bit.

We took excursions to Pagosa Springs and Sliverton and had a relaxing a week of walks, dinners out, and playtime. It was awesome to spend time with Pete, Linley and Raina - we don't get to see them nearly enough. You are Raina are going to be such good friends!

Grandpa Jerry

Grandpa Jerry died on September 1. Though he only knew you for a few short months he was so proud of you. An avid golfer and huge Gopher basketball fan, Jerry had a quick wit and gentle soul. We know he's looking on down on you with lots of love.
