Happy Hailey Day

Hailey turned one on Friday and we were invited to celebrate this momentuous occasion with her at Uncle Phil and Aunt Margo's house. Hailey sure knows how to work the crowd with her sweet smile and grand enthusiasm. She is such an awesome little person and you are truly delighted by her company.

Thanks for letting us party with you Hailey. We love you lots!

Despite the ear to ear grin Hailey abstained from indulging in her fluffy pink cupcake.

Feasting on goldfish crackers and debating the merits of Eric Carle literature at Hailey's new dining set.

Not a big fan of Hailey's space age chair. Maybe when you turn one you'll understand just how fun it is?

Plucking Hailey's sox right off her feet. Beware Delaney: what goes around comes around.

The Rutabaga Rumble

I should never let you nosh on this:

unless I am 100% prepared for this:

Hey Delaney, don't be mad! I'm just saying. Lesson learned.

Love Love Love

Happy Valentine's Day! We didn't know how much our hearts could love until you joined our little family. Your hugs and kisses are the best part of our day. So thank you! XOXO to you Delaney.

Art Appreciation Week

Saturday's are the best - especially when Dad doesn't have to work. A trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts followed by lunch at the French Meadow Bakery left smiles on all of our faces.
Unfortunately this sculpture was not in the hands-on family room.

Good thing the docent didn't catch you typing your super secret report.

Working on your own post-modern piece at Kinderberry Hill.

Not Much of a Winter, Winter Carnival

Every year St. Paul celebrates winter with an annual carnival. For a two week duration, the city hosts several family friendly events to divert our attention from the bitter cold. Your Great Grandpa Russell was a Vulcan, I've puzzled in the jigsaw contest, and your Dad has searched high and low for the medallion. This year's unseasonably warm temperatures wreaked havoc on the snow and ice sculpture contests. Despite the melt, we had a nice walk through Rice Park this Saturday morning.

No idea what we are standing in front and clearly you're unimpressed.

Standing in front of the James J. Hill Library. Dad needs to work on his family self-portrait skills.
